Students of all walks of life are able to feel confident about the material, to achieve the goals set by the course and to learn in a fun, supportive environment.

What distinguishes a good class from a great class, or a good teacher from an excellent one? The subtle awareness of all the finer details that continuously evolve during a class as well as the adaptation and nurturing of the teaching space for optimal results. Techniques like classroom management and proper communication are essential to becoming an outstanding teacher. The training we offer will continually reinforce these skills.

The Teacher Training Program provides participants with all the necessary components to be successful in the teaching and practice of Thai Yoga Massage. Students will also benefit from the Lotus Palm Teacher Training Manual which details unique time-proven teaching practices.

In addition to the Lotus Palm Teacher Training Manual, the program will cover:

• Lotus Palm teaching approach and methodology
• Business marketing and workshop management
• Teaching & Communication Skills
• Classroom management
• Class and massage safety and contraindications
• Basic anatomy
• Ethics
• Yoga and meditation

Part 1: 12 days of training:

• Learn how to teach the Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Massage form currently taught in our 3-hour, Couples and 2-day Thai Yoga Massage courses

Part 2: Apprenticeship Program:

• Learn how to teach Thai Yoga Massage 1 and Thai Yoga Massage 2 by apprenticing and teaching in Lotus Palm classes
• Students have the option to begin their apprenticeship immediately after Part 1 with Thai Yoga Massage 1 which directly follows.
• Students are required to apprentice a minimum of two Thai Yoga Massage 1 and two Thai Yoga Massage 2

Students participating in the Teacher Training Program will receive a certificate upon successful completion.

Part 1 Training

• June 21-July 6, 2010 OR Sept. 20- Oct. 5, 2010
• Students have the option to remain and assist Thai Yoga Massage 1 which immediately follows the class completion.

Daily schedule

Each day will begin with guided meditation, yoga and massage. This will be followed with teachings on various topics related to the relevant course content.

The Timetable below is tentative and subject to change:

9:00 am - 12:00 pm	morning practice
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm	lunch break
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm	afternoon practice

Weekends are reserved for rest and personal study

Part 2 Apprenticeship Program

• Students are required to apprentice a minimum of two Thai Yoga Massage 1 and two Thai Yoga Massage 2
• Students have 1 year to complete Apprenticeship for Thai Yoga Massage 1
• Upon completion of Thai Yoga Massage 1 Apprenticeship, students have 1 year to complete Thai Yoga Massage 2 Apprenticeship

2010 dates for Apprenticeship:

Thai Yoga Massage 1

• July 7-11, Aug. 4-8, Sept 8-12, Sept. 13- Oct. 13 (evening course), Oct. 6-10, Nov. 10-14, Nov. 22- Dec. 22 (evening course), Dec. 8-12

• Aug. 11-15, Sept. 15-19, Oct. 18-Nov. 17 (evening course), Nov. 17-21

• Minimum 80 hours of prior Thai Yoga Massage training, any school (equivalent to the Lotus Palm Essential Practitioner Certification),
• Minimum 1 year as a Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner or 100 documented massages.

Students coming from outside of Lotus Palm are required to take Thai Yoga Massage 1 and 2 and are eligible for a 75% discount on the regular price.

Students have the option to pay their balance (after deposit) in 6 equal payments.
