Your digestive system was put under stress during the holidays?

You can use a nice brew of fresh ginger to warm yourself up, to fight against cold viruses, to help with digestion and bloating all the while being a excellent tonic for your system.

Ingredients:

• A piece of fresh ginger (preferably organic, not shrivelled, make sure there are no traces of mold) about 3cm x 3cm


• 1 small cinnamon stick


• 4 cups of filtered water


• 1 lemon

 

Preparation:

 

1Put the fresh ginger and water together in a pot and let gently simmer for about 5 minutes.
 
2. The longer you leave it simmer, the stronger, spicier your infusion will be.

3.Once you have removed from heat, throw in your cinnamon stick and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes
You may want to add at bit of vitamin C by adding freshly sweezed lemon juice!
