Recipe of the Month

Homemade gingerbread for your holiday feast!

This gingerbread recipe is special because of the ingredients: fresh spices, orange peel and honey! Honey makes all the difference when it comes to consistency and taste.

Practical Uses For:

Clove Essential Oil

In this holiday season, use clove essential oil to give your immune system a boost, relieve toothache or simply because the smell reminds us of gingerbread and Christmas treats.

Diffuse it in the air to clean and to enjoy the pleasant scent that is good for morale. Use 1 drop on a sugar cube or neutral tablet internally, to fight the ailments of winter or use a few drops in hot water as a gargle for toothache or bad breath!

Be Good To Yourself!

This holiday season be good to yourself. After the hustle and bustle of shopping and holiday gatherings, it is time to put up your feet and take a break!

I get to be in my yummy sushi print pajamas, fuzzy slippers and messy hair. I put my feet up with a bowl of popcorn on my lap, a hot cup of cocoa and an array of chocolates, jelly beans and cookies arranged carefully around me while I catch up on all the TV I’ve missed during the year. And boy, oh boy, can I do this for days and not take a step out of my house! Okay, maybe a quick run to the grocery store to stock up on provisions, but I still won’t comb my hair! This is what hats are made for. Practically unrecognizable! I am a rebel! Indeed, a calorie counting free zone… that is until I leave the house! Thank goodness for New Year resolutions.

This is not only the period of year when I get time to myself but also the time when I reflect and feel really blessed with the journey that I am on and the person that I am. It is a time to be grateful for all the experiences that the year has brought me, for the things that I have accomplished and for the friends that I have made.

May this holiday be filled with joy and happiness, may it heal and bring peace to you.

Blessings from us to you!

Herbal Compress Massage Level 1

February 5-7, 2016 in Montreal

Thai people have been using dried herbs to treat many different ailments in the body for hundreds of years. Typically, Thai herbal compresses are steamed and either applied through clothing or directly on the skin. Hot herbal compress massage (Luk Pra Kob) is deeply comforting and warm. It promotes relaxation while soothing aching or tired muscles and stiff joints and helps to increase the flow of energy in the body.

By using techniques of patting, gliding, rolling and pounding, essential oils are released from the heated compresses penetrating and absorbing deeply to relax and detoxify the body. This can benefit those with conditions such as inflamed joints, arthritis, fibromyalgia, soft tissue injuries, and has profound effects on the body.

After this hands-on 3-day intensive workshop, students will leave with a comprehensive knowledge of Thai herbal compress bundle making and take home their personalized herbal compresses.
