Your digestive system was put under stress during the holidays?

You can use a nice brew of fresh ginger to warm yourself up, to fight against cold viruses, to help with digestion and bloating all the while being an excellent tonic for your system.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups of oat, almond or cow's milk


• 1 tbsp of maple syrup


• ¼ cup of cacao powder


• 1 tsp of cinnamon powder (and/or ginger, cardamom)

• 1 tsp of Ashwagandha

 

Preparation:

 

1. Begin to warm the milk in a medium saucepan on medium heat.
 
2. Add the maple syrup and the cacao powder.  Whisk until it begins to steam.

3. Take off the stove and whisk in the cinnamon (or spices) and Ashwagandha
 
 
For a smooth texture and to create foam on top, use a hand blender and churn for 30sec, then serve with some grated fresh nutmeg. Mmmmm!
