Kariwak Hotel and Holistic Haven with Thai Massage ClassesKariwak Hotel and Holistic Haven
Store Bay Local Road
Crown Point, Tobago
www.kariwak.com

Kariwak is not only a hotel and restaurant, but an oasis which promotes well-being and relaxation. It is located on the beautiful island of Tobago, Kariwak and has an intimate, resort-like style. See the Kariwak website for a list of classes and retreats offered in this absolutely amazing setting.

Retreat spaces

Located on the grounds are beautiful gardens and ajoupa’s: large and airy thatched-style rooms. These spaces are used for a variety of activities, including daily classes, guest readings and meetings. Guests can heighten their spiritual experience with a practice in the main ajoupa which was blessed by a visit from the Dalai Lama in 1998.

Classes

Besides morning yoga and tai chi, Kariwak also holds classes featuring guest teachers. More information on the various feng shui, yoga thai massage and qi qong lessons is available on their website, www.kariwak.com.

Activities

There are many outings to take part in nearby if one decides to wander beyond the retreat. Some include:

  • Scuba diving
  • Sailing
  • Horseback riding
  • Birdwatching, etc…

Due to the wonderful weather on the island, most activities are available all year round.
